His wife preceded him in death two years ago. He was horn in Carbon County and was a son of the late Peter and Salome Nothstein, (nee Kistler). He conducted a blacksmith shop in Egypt until two years ago, when he retired. Four sons and one daughter survive: Edwin and Pierce, Egypt; Martin, Fogelsville; William, Topton, and Mrs. Terry Gotthardt, Bath. There are 11 grandchildren and three brothers and one sister: Lewis, Alfred and James Nothstein and Mrs. Aaron Snyder, all of Lehighton. The funeral services will be held from the home of the son Pierce, at Egypt on Friday morning at 9:30 o’clock. Regular services and interment at the Egypt Church.
