Dominick (Pat) Antonacci, 69, of 1108 Ruth Ann Dr., Berwick, died Friday in
Berwick Hospital Center where he had been a patient since suffering a heart
attack on Monday. Born in Mocanaqua, March 17, 1919, son of the late Michael and
Concetta Sciotto Antonacci, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and was
employed as an equipment operator at the former Retreat State Hospital for 22
years retiring in 1975 due to ill health. A resident of Mocanaqua most of his
life, he resided in Berwick the past 10 years. He was a member of the Ascension
Church, Mocanaqua, Catholic War Veterans, Berwick; Association of Retired
Persons and Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees. A daughter,
Suzanne Diltz, died in 1977. 
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Eleanor Rahl; sons, Daniel D.,
Cressona; Dominick (Nick), Berwick; Larry P., Clewiston, Fla.; five grand-
children ; brother, Charles, Mocanaqua; sister, Carmella Denoy, Mocanaqua; Rose
Zapora, Baltimore, Md.; Mary Herman, Nanticoke; Angeline Jenkins, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from Mayo Funeral Home, Second and
Chestnut Streets, Berwick, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Ascension
Church, Mocanaqua. Interment in parish cemetery, Mocanaqua. Friends may call
Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Rosary will be recited Monday at 2:30.
