An illness of several weeks proved fatal to Mrs. Bridget Ferry, widow of former chief of police John R. Ferry, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Schaller, 368 South Poplar street. Mrs. Ferry was born at Jeanesville, her maiden name being Bridget Paul. Her entire life had been spent in this vicinity. For the last eight years she was employed at an investigator for the state Mothers' Pension Fund. She is survived by the following daughters and sons: Mrs. Thomas McMonigle of New York City; Mrs. William Magill, of Wilkes-Barre, Mrs. Wm. Schaller, Hugh and Paul J. Ferry of this city. The funeral will he held Wednesday morning from the Schaller home with a solemn high mass of requiem in St. Gabriel's church at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Gabriel's cemetery.
