Mrs. Elizabeth Rahl, wife of Louis Rahl, 137 Hillside avenue, Edwardsville, died
this morning at her home at 9:35 after an illness of almost three weeks. The
deceased was a native of Czechoslovakia. She came to this country 46 years ago
and settled at McAdoo. Thirty years ago she came to the West Side, where she has
resided since that time. She was a member of SS. Cyril and Method Church and of
the Altar Society and Rosary Society. Besides her husband she is survived by
nine children: Mrs. Augustus Bunsa, Luzerne; John, a Luzerne merchant; Emil,
Luzerne; Mrs. David Harper, Edwardsville; Mrs. Alex Woznik, Shickshinny; Robert,
Shickshinny; Mrs. John Evans, City; Mrs. Carl Phillips, Edwardsville, and
Alfred, New York City; also 36 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one
brother in Europe.
