Louis Rahl, 76, widely known West Side resident, died early this morning at his
home, 137 Hillside avenue, Edwardsville. Mr. Rahl was born in Austria and came
to this country when a young man, settling in McAdoo. He moved to Edwardsville
some 30 years ago and for many years before retiring was employed as a boilerman
in the mines. Mr. Rahl was a member of SS. Cyril and Method Church,
Edwardsville. His wife died last June. Surviving are these children: Mrs. August
Bunsa, McAdoo; John, Luzerne merchant; Emil, Luzerne; Mrs. Alex Woznak and
Robert, both of Shickshinny; Mrs. John Ivan, Wilkes-, Barre; Alfred, at home;
Mrs. Carl Phillips and Mrs. David Harper, both of Edwardsville. He also leaves
36 grandchildren and a brother in Europe.
