The Times Leader Wilkes Barre June 21 1939
Funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Rahl, highly esteemed resident of the West Side, was
held yesterday morning from the home, 137 Hillside Avenue, Edwardsville, with
scores of friends attending. Services at the residence were followed by a high
mass of requiem in SS. Cyril and Methodius's Church, Edwardsville, with Rev.
George A. Bendick of Luzerne officiating. He also pronounced benediction at the
grave in the pariah cemetery at Pringle. Flower carriers, all members of
Sojedenije Society, Branch 378, were Mrs. Michael Wakovsky, Mrs. John Sakala,
Mrs. Helen Poteroch and Mrs. Elizabeth Gerocs. Members of Altar and Rosary
Society attended the funeral in a group. Bearers, all grandsons of Mrs. Rahl,
were Bernard, Edward and Joseph Bunca, John and Edward Rahl and John Iyan.
