He was a beverage distributor in Freeland for many years. Born in Czechoslovakia, he came to this country at the age of 18 and lived in Freeland most of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Greek Catholic Church, Freeland. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Yalch, and the following children: Stephen and Mrs. Mary Preat, at home; John, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Helen Sloan, Hanover, NJ. A sister, Mrs. Mary Moroschak, of Freeland; a brother, Peter, Montreal, Canada, and three grandchildren also survive. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Arnold Suba gave the blessing at the funeral home. Father Suba was the celebrant of the requiem high mass in St. Mary's G. C. Church, Freeland, and also gave the blessing at the grave in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Stebnitsky, Jr., Frank Preputnik, Michael Banyas, Fred Barna, Michael Bartko and Frank Homza.
