Harry Alton ‘Muggs’ Geedey

Harry Alton “Muggs” Geedey passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2024 at William Penn
Healthcare in Lewistown. He was 96.
Born Feb. 7, 1928 in Hawstone, he was the son of John Arthur Geedey and Mary
Katherine Musser. His wife, Thelma J. Geedey, who he married in 1950 passed away in
2011.
He is survived by four children, Harry M. Geedey of Lewistown, George A. Geedey of
Jupiter, FL, Daniel A. Geedey of Mifflintown, and Deborah H. Geedey of Mifflintown;
two sisters, Jean Aurand and Helen Casner; one brother, Raymond Geedey.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Russell
Geedey, Boyd Geedey, Thelma Swab, and Hope Elaine Swailes Watts.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947 where he earned the World War 2 Victory
Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He mustered out of the Army in 1947 as a
Sergeant.
Interment in Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
