Charlotte F. Peterson, 87, of Port Royal, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at
Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born June 16, 1936, in Evendale, she was a daughter of the late Jerome and Arlene
(Shirk) Varner. Her husband, Lee E. Peterson, whom she married July 27, 1957, passed
away on Jan. 29, 2000.
She is survived by five children, Merrill Peterson of Port Royal, Jerry Peterson of
Mifflintown, Joyce Hockenberry of Mifflintown, Frank Peterson of Mifflintown, and
Timothy Peterson, of Port Royal, two brothers, Leroy Varner and Melvin Varner, two
sisters, Sandra Fogleman and Bonnie Griffith.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
