DEATH AT LEWISTOWN.

  Colonel David D. Van Valzah of Lewistown, aged 80, a veteran of the 
Civil war, was buried there yesterday, solemn requiem high mass being 
celebrated by the Rev. Father J. H. Melchoir of Centralia.  Colonel Van 
Valzah was also a veteran of the Spanish-American war.  While in the 
Civil war his only injury was that of the left thumb in the battle of 
Gettysburg.
