This photo may be a women's church group or the women's auxilary of the Sons of Temperance or GAR. My great-great-grandmother, Lizzie Harbourne is middle row, right end (by crack). In 1908 she lived at 12 East Montgomery Avenue, Kensington. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/1908women.gif =================== Amy is Amy Judge. Picture was taken Oct. 31, 1908. I think she was a friend of my grandmother, Elizabeth Farr (Lizzie Harbourne's grandaughter), who also lived at the above address in 1908. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/amy.gif =================== Beatrice is Beatrice Carhard or Carhart. Picture was taken "winter 1907" and sent to Elizabeth Farr on a post card. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/beatrice.gif =================== Belmont Terrace was taken in 1936 at or near 5651 Belmar Terrace. The woman on the right is Anna H. Farr, my great-grandmother. The other 2 ladies were neighbors; one or both of them may have lived at 5657 Belmar. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/belmont.gif =================== Ethel Adams was a friend of Olive Farr Patton. This wedding picture was taken July 15, 1928, possibly on Belmar Terrace. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/ethel.gif =================== Picture 3 is of Myrtle, Bobby and Ruth Foracre. It was taken in 1932. I do not know who they were or where the picture was taken, but they were friends of O. F. Patton. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/foracres.gif =================== Male Graduate was taken at (or by) Carl Wolf Studio of Philadelphia, probably in the 1950s. I do not know who the young man is. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/50sgrad.gif =================== Stuart Russell. Picture was taken at West Point (I think). I do not know the year, but he would have been from Philadelphia. His picture was in Olive Farr Patton's photo album, so his parents were probably friends of hers. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/stuart.gif =================== Veronica is Veronica C. Jordan, age 3-1/2 months. Her parents would have been friends of O. F. Patton; I do not know what year picture was taken. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/veronica.gif =================== The picture was taken by M. D. Faunce, Photographer, 3222 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, probably between 1894 and 1898. My great-aunt, Olive H. Farr, is the third from the right in the second row from the bottom. The family lived at 129 Richmond Street, so the school would have been near there. If you can find out the name and get a better date for me, please let me know. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/school.gif =================== The Jack Thackara picture was taken between 1919 and 1921; he is not a relative, so must have been the son of a friend of the family (probably the Patton or Farr family) http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/thackara.gif =================== The wedding photo is dated 20 Apr 1921. I have no idea who the happy couple is, but again must have been friends of Patton or Farr family. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/history/wedding.gif =================== If you have any additional information about the individuals or groups in these photos, please contact BettyAnn at bvanw@yahoo.com.
