* Enrolled Aug. 20, 1862 to serve 3 years or the duration at Berlin, Somerset 
Co. Pa. by F. A. Edmunds 
* Mustered in Aug. 25, 1862 at Harrisburg, Pa. by Lieutenant Brayton, U. S. A. 
* Discharged May 29, 1865 near Washington, D. C. by reason of G. O. #26 H. Q. A 
of P with company 
* Age 17 
* Height - 5'5"; Hair - Light; Complexion - Fair; Eyes - Hazel 
* Occupation - Farmer 
* Paid in full June 3, 1865 
* Filed Oath of Identity Feb. 28, 1866 while a resident of Berlin, Somerset Co. 
Pa. 
* He was in the following battles: Chancelorsville; Gettysburg; Wilderness;
