Anderson, 68, of Sacramento, California, died May 28, 1985. He was a Meyersdale native, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Anderson. He lived in Sacramento for 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Anderson, two daughters, Jill Bisho, of Honolulu, and Julie Westernberg, of Fresno Calif.; four sisters and three brothers: Pauline Thomas, Mrs. Bruce Phillips, Donald Anderson, all of Meyersdale; Mary K. Engleka, Akron, Ohio; Beatrice Will, of New Baltimore Md., Shirley Anderson of Stoystown, and Kenneth Anderson, of Butler, and three grandchildren. Grave side services were held May 31 at the East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park. He was a civilian aircraft mechanic supervisor at McClellan Air Force Base for 30 years, having that position nine years ago. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific for four years during which time he was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack. He was discharged as staff sergeant. He was a member of Pearl Harbors Survivors Chapter No. 6. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
