Ansell, 87, Rockwood RD 3, died Aug. 21, 1988, at the Somerset Community Hospital. Born Aug. 2, 1901, in Scullton, son of the late John and Sadie (Gary) Ansell. Preceded in death by his first wife, the former Mabel G. Patterson, in 1954; a granddaughter, Judy; and a grandson, Michael; five brothers and a sister. Survived by his second wife, the former Blanche (Ream) Singo; six daughters: Mrs. Vernadine Gary, Somerset; Mrs. Charles (Enid) Shultz, Mrs. Rev. Don (Janet) Sadler, Mrs. Samuel (Shirley) Greary, Mrs. Jacob (Beverly) Mognet, all of Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. (the Rev. ) Don (Carole) Judy, Rockwood RD 1; eight sons: The Rev. Arnold D., Elwood, Frank, all Rockwood RD 3; John B., Mont Alto, Pa.; Harold E, Rockwood; Clarence Jr., Markleton RD 1; Hubert D., Vermillion, Ohio; Rev George E. Tulsa, Okla.; 58 grandchlidren, 51 great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Ansell, Harrrisburg; and a sister, Mrs. Olive Gary, Rockwood RD 3. A coal worker, farmer, painter, also employed several years by PenDOT. Member of Laurel Mountain Chapel of Trent. Friends will be received from 7-9 pm Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday at the Wilbur D Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday at Laurel Mountain Chapel, Trent, Pa., with the Rev. Don Judy officiating. Interment, Sculton Cemetery. Viewing of remains one hour prior to funeral service. Also survived by the following step-children: Oran Singo, New York,; Mrs. Earl (Nelma) Jacobs, Harrisburg; Wayne Singo, New Stanton; Robert Singo, Somerset; and Teddy Singo, Rockwood RD 2.
