AUGUSTINE John Daniel Augustine, 61, died Saturday night, Oct. 26, at 9:30, several minutes after he had suffered a heart attack while driving to his home east of Uniontown. Mrs. Augustine was with her husband when he became ill. She called for assistance and he was carried into a house in Hopwood, where he died. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Julia Ross Augustine, who is the sister of Mrs. Fred B. Shaffer of Somerset, he is survived by two sons, Lieut. Daniel Augustine, of the state police barracks in Washington, Pa., and Pvt. Jasper Augustine of the Uniontown barracks of the state police; a daughter, Mrs. John R. Shaughnessy of Uniontown; two brothers, Edgar Augustine of Addison, and Thomas D. Augustine of Morrisville. He was the oldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Augustine, prominent residents of Addison Township. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in Johnson Memorial Chapel, Fayette County. Dr. W. H. Hyndman of the First Presbyterian Church of Uniontown officiated.
