  BALLENTINE
  
  Judy Prekrel Ballentine of Chandler, Ariz., died Sept. 1, 2002 at the
  University of California at San Diego Hospital in La Jolla, Calif. From
  complications following surgery.  She was born Sept. 28, 1949 in Charleroi,
  Pa., the daughter of Albert and the late Mildred Prekrel and grew up in
  Newell and Rockwood.  She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John; her
  son, John III, and his wife Lori, of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, James
  Prekrel of Nashville, Tenn.; and her father Al Prekrel of Rockwood.  A
  memorial service was conducted in Chandler, Ariz.  She was a 1967 graduate
  of Rockwood High School.  She was a registered Nurse, first working in the
  OB/GYN area and later maintained a nursing notes software system at Desert
  Samaritan Hospital in Mesa, Ariz. until her illness caused her
  disability.  Memorial contributions can be made to The Society of St.
  Vincent DePaul, 420 W. Watkins St., Phoenix, Ariz. 85003.
