Baraniak, 75, of 605 Kircher Place, Boswell, died April 1, 1990 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 7, 1914 in Shenandoah. Son of Stanley and Helen (Stravinsky) Baraniak. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Frank and Albert. Survived by his wife, the former Pauline Brown, and these children: Judith, wife of Robert Homer, Stoystown RD 1; Betty, wife of Glenn Gindlesperger; Columbus Ohio, and Connie, wife of Sam Stevanus, Central City Rd 1. Three grandchildren: Sherri Lisbon, Steve Gindlesperger and Jeff Cooper. Brother of Anna, widow of Frank Slizewski; Dorothy, widow of Bernard Sokolsky, and Helen Pastuch, all of Boswell; Pauline, widow of Paul Kerch, Bronx, NY., and Stanley Jr. of Everett. Member of Jerome Church of the Nazarene, where he had served as Sunday School superIntendent for many years. Also member of Somerset County Housing Authority. Past member of Boswell Water Authority. Retired miner. Employed as a tunnel guard by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission for many years. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jerome Church of the Nazarene, where viewing will also be held from 10 a.m. until time of service, Rev. Peter J. Scharler. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery.
