She had been ill for the past six months. She was formerly a resident of St. Paul near Meyersdale, where she lived from 1965-74. Born June 13, 1907, in Saltillo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late David W. and Pauline Hostetler Miller. On Jan. 9, 1927, she married Abner J. Schlabach of Holmes County, Ohio, who died in 1948. On Sept. 5, 1965, she married Norman Beachy of Somerset County, who died in 1975. With the exception of the nine years she lived in Somerset County, she spent her life in Holmes County, Ohio, living in Charm from 1927-38, Berlin from 1937-63, and Benton from 1963-65 and 1974-92. She was a member of Zion Conservative Mennonite Church, Benton. She is survived by seven children from her marriage to Abner Schlabach: Raymond, married to Susan Troyer, Bambu, Costa Rica; Alvin, married to Ada Miller, Hartville, Ohio; Irene, married to Lester Yoder, Millersburg, Ohio; Leroy, married to Fannie Mae Gingerich, Kidron, Ohio; Abner Jr., married to Virginia Glass, Perkasie, Pa.; Martha, married to Jacob Coblentz, Millersburg, Ohio, and Mary, married to George Bear, Sugarcreek, Ohio; 27 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. From her marriage to Norman Beachy she is survived by one step-daughter, Barbara, married to Ervin Hershberger, Meyersdale; one step-granddaughter and three step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Sylvia, widow of Christian B. Yoder, Walnut Creek, Ohio, and Arie, widow of John S. Miller, Millersburg, Ohio. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Zion Conservative Mennonite Church, Benton, Ohio, Rev. Fred Hostetler and Levi Miller officiating. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Building, 4 miles east of Millersburg at U.S. 62 and TR 351. Arrangements are by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
