  Joseph D. Bentz, 74, of Somerset RD 1, died May 4, 1978 at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 6, 1903 in Somerset County, son of the late
  John I. and Lizzie (Koontz) Bentz.  Survived by wife, the former Mary Mae
  Beam, and these children:  Robert of Dayton, Va.; Mrs. Fred (Joan) Costea
  of Somerset RD 1; James, Stoystown RD 3; Jerry of Dayton, Va.; Terry and
  Thomas, both of Smyrna, Del, 12 grandchildren and these brothers and
  sisters:  Mrs. Laura Mickle, Johnstown, Luther St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs.
  Luella Wertz, Garden Grove, Cal.; Fred of Johnstown RD 4; Mrs. June Polsac,
  Central City; Mrs. Victor (Dorothy) Wolford, Windber RD 1; and Mrs. Andrew
  (Vera) Huss, Johnstown.  Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren. 
  Friends are being received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where
  services will be conducted Saturday at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Forry
  officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
