Born March 24, 1930 in Tyrone, a daughter of David Jeff and Ellen Catherine (Shoff) Snyder. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Dean L. Sr., Sept. 28, 1980; sisters: Evagene Frazier, Ruth Irwin and Mildred Beveridge and brother, Harry. Survived by these children: Nadine, wife of Clifford Naugle, Hollsopple; Cathy, wife of Dennis Warnick, Stoystown; Kim Ann Peterson, Boswell; Sandra Fleegle, with whom she resided; Brenda, wife of Ron Beckner and Dean Jr. married to Denise Gontis, both of Boswell RD; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and good friend for many years, Nancy Hay, Friedens RD. Sister of Catherine Fike, Ocala, Fla.; Marion Gingrich, Keyser, W. Va., Blanche Martin, Okeechobee, Fla.; George Snyder, White Oak; Janet Hobba, Grand Isle, N.Y.; and Robert Snyder, Ocala, Fla. Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Boswell. Along with husband, owned and operated former Dean's Hotel, Jenner Crossroads for 18 years. Certified home health aide for many years. Enjoyed her beloved family, watching birds around her home, quilting and reading. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Jason L. McQueen and the Rev. Peter R. Grosso, officiating. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lee Regional Hospice, 1425 Scalp Av., Johnstown, 15904 or the American Cancer Society, 168 West Union St., Somerset, 15501.
