Bowser, 92, formerly of Duncansville, lived in Somerset area for the past 20 years, died Feb. 18, 2007, in Meadow View Nursing Home, Berlin. Born March 15, 1914, in Altoona, the son of the late Earl L. and Alta L. (Ritchey) Bowser. He married Janet M. Butler and she preceded him in death in 1999; daughter, Kay F. Mock, Dec. 1982; a son, Richard G.; a granddaughter, Sara Bowser, Sept. 28, 1983; and four brothers and two sisters. Survived by three sons, Robert N., Massachusetts; Donald G., Idaho; and Karl S., Friedens; two sisters, E. Ruth Baker and Louise Wahl, both of Duncansville; and brother, Sam, Okinawa. He retired as a truck driver in 1975. A member of Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church, Duncansville. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Rich Morris. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
