  BOWSER
  
    John E. Bowser Sr., 67, of Stoystown (Reading Mines) died Sept. 1,
  1998, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estates.  Born May 20, 1931, in
  Roytown.  Son of John and Lulabelle (Riley) Bowser.  Preceded in
  death by parents; brother Earl Bowser, and sister Wilma Reed. 
  Survived by his wife, the former Thelma (Foy) Leasure, and these
  children:  James Leasure, California; Cletus E. Leasure and Leah
  Hays, both of Jennerstown; Dennis Leasure of Berlin; Deborah M.
  Shaffer and John E. Bowser Jr., both of Stoystown; 16 grandchildren,
  7 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Lois Yonker, Somerset; Betty Kosic
  and Roy Bowser of Edie.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev.
  Cletus E. Leasure officiating.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery,
  Stoystown.
