Brant, 79, a retired Baltimore & Ohio railroader, died early Tuesday morning at his home on West Main Street, Rockwood, after a short illness of complications. His wife, Mary (Hauger) Brant, died six years ago. Surviving are one son, Clayton Brant of Annapolis, Md., and one daughter, Mrs. Roy Weller of Kittaning. Seven grandchildren also survive. He was a life-long member of the Rockwood Reformed Church. Funeral services were conducted at the late home at 2:30 Thursday afternoon by the Rev. F. D. Witmer of Berlin. Interment followed in the Rockwood I.O.O.F. cemetery under the direction of Mills and Mickey, Rockwood morticians. Meyersdale Republican, January 30, 1941
