He was born May 4, 1918, in Somerset, the son of Robert C. Brant of Somerset and the late Maude (Rose) Brant. Also preceded in death by a twin brother, Albert; brothers, Orval and Ronald; and a grandson. Survived by his wife, the former Florence (Dolly) Zorn; and these children: Robert F. and Michael E., both in Berlin; Mrs. Bruce (Beverly) Stuck, Novato, Calif.; and Mrs. Harold (Patti) Gary of Rockwood; ten grandchildren. He was a brother of: Mrs. Marguerite Ogline, Mrs. Pauline Will and Donald G. Brant, all of Somerset; and Mrs. Rosaline Gerhardt, Boulder, Colo. He was a WWII Army veteran, and was wounded during the Battle of the Bulge. A member of Disabled American Veterans and Robert Walker VFW Post No. 7295, Berlin. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Somerset County Unit, 212 East Main St., Somerset, would be appreciated.
