  BUCHANAN
  
  Clemence E. (Bucky) Buchanan, 76, of White Star Village in
  Jennerstown, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1978, in the
  Washington, Pa., Hospital.  He was born Oct. 22, 1901, at Hickory,
  Pa., a son of the late Herbert S. and Alena Lyle Buchanan.  For the
  past 40 years, he and his wife, Marion, who died April 27, 1977, had
  lived in the Boswell-Jennerstown area where he engaged in farming
  and, in later years, the coal industry.  He was local land manager
  for the Cerro Marmon Coal Group.  Surviving are two sisters: Mrs.
  Margaret Smith of Topeka, Ks.; and Sara, wife of Dr. J.W.G. Hannon of
  Washington, Pa.  Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Friday at the Speakman Funeral Home in Houston, Pa., where
  services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
  Austin Gilleland officiating.  Interment, Mt. Prospect Cemetery,
  Hickory.
