Camp, 85 years, 7 months and 16 days old, of Harnedsville, died at 1:50 o'clock Friday afternoon, Nov. 26 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Bryce Dixon in Connellsville, following a brief illness. He was born at Keyser's Ridge, Md., April 10, 1858, and for a number of years resided at Shelbysport, Md. A resident of Somerset County for 30 years, he was widely known throughout the county. Mr. Camp was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, having served in the capacity of Sunday School superintendent and Bible teacher for more than 50 years. His wife preceded him in death a year ago last August. Surviving are the following children: Everett C. Camp, Portsmouth, Va.; Mrs. George Gales, Uledi, Pa.; Mrs. Carl Murphy, Connellsville; Mrs. Charles Rhodaback, Jacksonville, Fla., and Arnold H. Camp, Harnedsville. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters - William Camp, Somerset; Mrs. Louvenia Guthrie, Connellsville; Mrs. Frank Shirer, Addison; and Mrs. George Feick, Somerset. The funeral service was held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, Nov. 29, in the Methodist Church, Harnedsville. Burial was in Addison Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, December 9, 1943
