  ELEANOR CASSEN
  
  Eleanor S. Cassen, 96, of Wellersburg, died March 30, 1994 at Meyersdale Manor.
  Born Nov. 29, 1897 in Wellersburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank
  P. and Mary Jane (Knepp) Shaffer.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Cassen, and two brothers
  and one sister.
  Cassen was a homemaker and the oldest living active member of Zion Lutheran
  and Reform Church of Wellersburg and a member of the Ladies Guild of the church.
  She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane baker and husband Ralph of
  Wellersburg, with who she resided; one son, John P. Cassen and wife Betty
  of Wellersburg; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
  Friends were received at Durst Funeral Home Friday.  Services were conducted
  Saturday at the Zion Lutheran and Reform Church in Wellersburg with the
  Revs. George Wehler and Lawrence Newmark officiating.  Interment, church
  cemetery.
