  CHRISTNER
  
  Leona Pauline Christner, 90, of Ridgeley, W.Va. formerly of Meyersdale,
  died Aug. 12, 2002 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born April
  15, 1912 in Garrett.  A daughter of the late Howard and Missouri (Walters)
  Haer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Christner on
  Dec. 4, 1993.  Surviving are four daughters: Eleve, wife of the late
  Spurgeon Romesburg, Karen, wife of Paul Meyers, both of Meyersdale, Lynnie,
  wife of Kenneth O'Neil, Ridgeley, W.Va. and Aletha, wife of Elvin Sanner,
  Cleveland Ohio; one brother, Merle Haer and wife Peggy, Sandusky, Ohio; one
  sister, Peggy, wife of Tom Christner, Garrett; five grandchildren: Kimberly
  Romesburg, Steven Meyers and wife Cathy, Timothy Meyers, Ryan O'Neil and
  wife Jacque and Roger O'Neil; and three great-grandchildren: Matthew and
  Jessica Thompson and Ashley Meyers.  She was a member of the Meyersdale
  Main Street Brethren Church.  At the request of the deceased, there will be
  no public viewing or visitation.  Private funeral services will be held at 2
  p.m. Tuesday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Stahl
  officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.  In lieu of flowers,
  contributions may be made to the Meyersdale Main Street Brethren Church.
