Had she lived until January 3 she would have been 99 years old. She was the daughter of Frederick and Phoebe Brant and was born in 1850 on a farm near Berlin. Her husband, Aaron Cober, a leading farmer of Brothersvalley Township, died in 1900. Later she with her family, moved to Berlin where she conducted her own home for many years. Due to failing health she made her home with her son, the late Alvardo B. Cober, and her daughter-in-law, by whom she was tenderly cared for. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Kreider, Lancaster, Pa, and Mrs. Bernard Nowag, San Diego, Calif., a step-daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Coughenour of Johnstown, and a sister, Mrs. Eliza Baker of Berlin, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Berlin Brethren Church. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 23, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Percy C. Miller officiating in the Johnson Funeral Home.
