Born May 25, 1911, in Quemahoning Township, Somerset County. Daughter of the late Russell and Emma Jane (Ogline) Stern. Preceded in death by parents; husband John R. Cole on April 18, 1975; 11 brothers and sisters. Survived by these children: John R. (Jack), Akron, Ohio; Richard, Boswell RD 1; Jayne Magazzu, Jennerstown; Mrs. Russell (Shirley) Harris, Manassas, Va.; Mrs. John (Sandy) Mastic, Gray; and Mrs, Robert (Ruth) Fritz, Somerset RD 3. 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. One sister, Olive Manges, Johnstown, and one brother, Clay Stern, Stoystown RD 1. Member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, but attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Gray. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Saturday) in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. Pastor Don Sadler officiating.
