Countryman, 55, of Salem, Ohio, died June 18, 1974, in Columbiana County Home, Lisbon, Ohio. Born in Meyersdale, Dec. 8, 1918, he was a son of the late John A. and Henrietta V. (Zimmerman) Countryman. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry. A veteran of World War II, he had served four years with the U.S. Army in the Pearl Harbor area, from 1941-45. He was later employed in Ohio as a paper shredder for 27 years, and was a member of the Elks Lodge of Salem, Ohio. Surviving are a brother, Charles, of Sacramento, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Marker and Mrs. Frank (Alice) Hummel, both of Meyersdale. Funeral service will be held at William R. Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, Friday, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Lloyd Sedhriest officiating. Burial in St. Paul Cemetery, Meyersdale RD 1. Meyersdale Republican, June 20, 1974 [C1039]
