  DEAL

  Earl Ambrose Deal, 75, of Stoystown Road, Friedens, died March 26, 1999,
  at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Nov. 4, 1923, in Salisbury,
  son of the late Lester and Nellie (Reiber) Deal.  Also preceded in death by
  brother, Glenn Deal and sister Edna Schrock.  Survived by wife of 55 years,
  the former Alice Valeria Brugh; daughter, Mrs. Andrew G. (Dorris E.)
  Raleigh of Wayne N.J.; son, David L. Deal, married to the former Adele
  Beegle, of Slidell, La.; 5 grandchildren: Stephen I. Raleigh, Sherry L.
  Raleigh, Ryan W. Deal, Jacquelyn A. Deal and Jennifer A. Deal; and 3
  great-grandchildren: Emily E. and Sophia E. Raleigh and Rhett C. Deal.
  Brother of Lee Roy Deal, Clyde E. Deal and Mrs. Pauline Shumaker, all of
  Salisbury.  Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren and VFW Post 554. A
  1941 graduate of Salisbury Elk Lick High School. World War II veteran U.S.
  Navy Submarine Service.  He was a power plant and boiler operator for
  Somerset State Hospital, retiring in 1988 with 13 years of service. Friends
  received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted 10:30 a.m.
  Wednesday, at Somerset Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Roger L. Forry
  officiating. No viewing at the church.  Interment, New Centerville Union
