  RALPH E. DEAL SR.
  
  Ralph E. Deal, Sr., 73, of Thomas Street, Hollsopple, died evening of Jan.
  11, 1983, at Memorial Hospital.  Born July 3, 1909, in Humbert, Somerset
  County, a son of Harvey and Hattie (Dewire) Deal.  Preceded in death by
  parents, brothers Glenn and Roy.  Survived by widow, the former Zetta
  Thomas; and children: Donald, married to the former Mary Jane Churney,
  Johnstown; Harold, married to the former Joan Churney, Mine 40, Windber;
  Dean, married to the former Margaret Rosey, Hollsopple; Dwayne, married to
  the former Kathy Yoder, Johnstown RD 7; Ralph Jr., married to the former
  Kathy Leverknight, Tire Hill; Monetta, wife of David Shaw, Conemaugh; and
  Dwanna, wife of William Gilbert, Lancaster; also 16 grandchildren.  Brother
  of Homer, Hollsopple.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell,
  where service will be held 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Edward W. Thornton
  officiating.  Interment, Custer Cemetery.
