Decker, 65, of Stoystown RD 3, died Dec. 27, 1983, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Born Nov. 6, 1918, in Fulton County, a son of Charles H. and Olive (Fletcher) Decker. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Nancy; brother, the Rev. Charles; sister, Vera Russell; and half-brother, Judson. Survived by his wife, the former Willa Mae Frazier, whom he married Nov. 22, 1939, and these children, Mrs. Stephen (Marlene) Morris, Lancaster; Carolyn and Dennis, at home; and Sandy, Stoysown RD 2; and three granchildren. A brother of Mrs. Forrest (Geraldine) Moyer, Central City; Roy, Unger, W.Va.; Howard, Cleveland, Ohio; and Robert, Phoenix, Ariz. He retired from Poorbaugh Lumber Co., where he worked for 44 years. He owned and operated Decker Mower Sales. A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown. A World War II Army veteran, he served with the 329th Infantry, 83rd Division, in Europe, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. A member of the Shanksville American Legion Post and Somerset VFW. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. The remains will be removed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown, to lie in state from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Woodrow J. Klinger officiating.
