  FREDERICK J. DEEM, SR.
  
  Frederick J. Deem, Sr., 59, of 700 Meadow St., Berlin, died Aug. 20, 1985,
  at Somerset Community Hospital.  He was born Oct. 17, 1925, in Berlin, son
  of Joseph and Clara (Colflesh) Deem.  Preceded in death by parents;
  brothers, Raymond, Joseph, Jr., Harold; and a sister, Mabel Walker.  He is
  survived by his wife, the former Elide Lesa, and these children: Jay,
  married to the former Joy Weyant of Berlin; Mrs. Ira (Janice) Harding of
  Berlin; Randy, married to former Sharon Bolden of Meyersdale; and Fred,
  Jr., U.S. Army.  Also seven grandchildren.  He was a brother of Walter of
  Akron, Ohio; Wilbur, Mrs. Leland (Mary Ann) Walker, and Clyde W., all of
  Berlin RD 3; Mrs. Forrest (Jean) Romesberg of Meyersdale; and Robert of
  Phelps, N.Y.  He was a member of the First Brethren Church, Berlin; Army
  veteran of World War II; member of Harry Fisher Post 445, American Legion;
  and Robert Walker Post 7295, VFW, Berlin.  Friends were received Wednesday
  evening and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the
  Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 11
  a.m. Friday with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officating.  Interment, Berlin
  I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
