Dosch, 84 of Somerset, died June 23, 2002 at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born Oct. 14, 1917 in Altoona. Son of Dr. Philip Christ and Sara Alva (Dull) Dosch. Preceded in death by parents, daughter, Pamela Jane Dosch, sisters, Ruthanna Rice and Dorothy Zimmerman and brother Paul Dosch. Survived by wife, the former Margaret Russell Crom to whom he was married 57 years, and children, Mr. William H. Dosch Jr. of Alexandria, VA., and Mrs. Wendel W. (Mary M.) Doubleday of Doylestown. Brother of Lois Musser-Krauss of Tucson, Ariz. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A 1935 graduate of Somerset High School. Attended University of Pittsburgh and a 1941 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He practiced Optometry in Somerset for 35 years. Also member of Somerset Volunteer Fire Department and Masonic Lodge 358, Harrisburg Consistory, Altoona Shrine, past president of the Somerset Rotary Club, and past president of the Southwestern Optometric Association. Also member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. The American Optometric Association, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1801. Memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr., senior pastor, officiating.
