  Thomas R. Downie Sr., 82, Jerome, died at his home May 30.  Born April 22,
  1885, in Meyersdale, he was a son of Alexander and Lillian (Robertson)
  Downie.
  
  He was married in 1906 to the former Catherine Agnes Keegan, who preceded
  him in death Nov. 2, 1954.
  
  Surviving are these children:  James, of Sharon; Thomas J. and Raymond C.,
  Mansfield, Ohio; Beatrice, wife of Stephen Gironda and Mary Jane, wife of
  William Borelle, both of Jerome:  John B., Cleveland:  and Kathryn, wife of
  George Lavadnuk, Central City:  also 23 grandchildren and 14 great
  grandchildren.
  
  He was a member of Local 1113 of UMW of A. Jerome, and Holy Cross Roman
  Catholic Church, Jerome, where requiem mass will be sung on Friday, June 2,
  at 9 a.m., with Rev. Alphonse J. Roszak officiating.
  
  Interment will be made in SS. Philip and James cemetery, Merersdale.
