Born Dec. 10, 1922, in Berlin, a son of the late Wasco and Mary Drabish. Survived by his wife, the former Ruth Bowman, and two daughters: Lora, wife of William Jackson, Oldtown, Md., and Diane Drabish of York; two sons: George Robert of Vienna, Va., and Ronald of Meyersdale; one grandaughter, Jade Jackson. Also survived by three brothers and one sister: Steve of Walton Hills, Ohio; Nick of Baltimore, Md.; Frank of Somerset, ad Anna Conrad of Emmittsburg, Md. Retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. Owned a pizza shop in Meyersdale for 13 years. Worked as a custodian at Meyersdale High School and Snyder's Potato Chip Factory in Berlin. Member of Meyersdale American Legion and the Meyersdale VFW, where he was a past commander and quartermaster. Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Daily American, December 6, 1996 [D0876]
