Drees, 85, of Finzel Road, died June 12, 1975, in Frostburg Community Hospital, where he had been admitted the previous Sunday. He had been in failing health the past several years. Born in Finzel, Md., he was a son of the late Casper and Anna (Keidel) Drees. He was a retired clay miner and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas. Surviving are his widow, the former Pearl Minnick; four daughters, Mrs, Mabel Miller, Schellsburg; Mrs. Genevieve Wilhelm and Mrs. Hilda Miller, both of Pocahontas; and Mrs. Margaretta Festerman of Gap, Pa.; three sons, Raymond, Bernard and Harold Drees, all of Frostburg RD 2; 28 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Baldwin of Finzel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday morning in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas. Interment in Finzel Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, June 19, 1975 [D0889]
