Durst, 46, was dead on arrival at Bedford Memorial Hospital on May 22, 1983. Born in Grantsville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Marian House Durst. He was a member of the Laughlin Church of the Brethren, and was employed as a truck driver for the Harry Wormer and Sons Coal Company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Hutzel Durst; one daughter, Karen D. Durst, at home; three brothers, Calvin, Grantsville; Blaine, Somerset; and Wilmer, Ridgeville, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Butler, Grantsville; and Mrs. Martha Winters, Salisbury. Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. A service was held May 24, 1983 in the Laughlin Church of the Brethren with Rev. James Deremer officiating. Interment followed in Durst Cemetery. The family requests that memorials take the form of donations to the Laughlin Church of the Brethren. The Republic, June 2, 1983 [D1066]
