  DURST
  
  Lettie L. Durst, 89, formerly of Grantsville, Md., died Friday, Feb. 6,
  1987, in Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home.
  
  Born in Grantsville on Jan. 12, 1898, she was a daughter of the late
  Charles and Jane (Durst) Platter.  Her husband, Jefferson T. Durst, died
  Oct. 4, 1955.
  
  She was a member of Laughlin Church of the Brethren.
  
  Surviving are three sons: Edison Durst, Accident, Md.; Ralph Durst,
  Meyersdale, and Ernest Durst, Grantsville; three brothers: Irvin Platter,
  Grantsville; Elroy Platter, Mount Savage, Md.; and Orvis Platter, Fort
  Hill; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and three
  great-great-grandchildren.
  
  Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where
  services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph Lewis and the
  Rev. James Deremer.  Interment, Durst Cemetery, Grantsville.
