Born Nov. 14, 1930, at Uniontown, she was a daughter of Ethel (Firestone) Wable, Meyersdale, and the late Jack Wable. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra S. Knapp, and 2 sisters, Bredella Fike and Virginia Wable. Mrs. Durst was a retired cook for the Ohiopyle Dairy Queen and was a member of the Amvets Auxiliary in Hopwood. She is survived by 4 sons: Thomas G. Durst, Douglas L. Durst and Donald R. Durst, all of Meyersdale, and John A. Durst, Fort Hill; 2 daughters: Gloria Jean Knapp, Warren, and Shirley I. Durst, Havelock, N.C.; three sisters: Margaret Carr, Fairchance; Shirley Vance, Elkins, W.Va.; Sara Jane Artice, Meyersdale; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Newman Funeral Home, 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev.
