Born Oct. 8, 1931, at Ursina, a son of Frank "Dutch" Dwire of Markleton and the late Christine (Phillips) Dwire. Survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae (Carlson) Dwire. He was foreman dragline operator for Tri-Star Mining, Barton, Md. Surviving children are Donald and Martha Dwire, Jr., Moscow, Md.; Larry and Debbie Dwire, Finzel, Md.; Bonnie and Robert Amyot, Moscow, Md.; Brenda and Roger Moore, Barton, Md.; Carol and Robert Magruder, Frostburg, Md.; Pam and Ronald Crafton, Baltimore, Md.; David Dwire, Sr., at home; also 21 grandchildren, one deceased and 1 great grandchild. Also surviving are brother Roy "Putch" Dwire, and wife Marlin, Confluence. Brother, Kenny Dwire, deceased. Surviving sisters are Shirley and John King, Markleton; Louise and Raymond Kreger, Harnedsville; Sandy Dwire and Loretta and Harvey Ohler, all of Markleton. Member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), Barton Rod and Gun Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, Md. The body will be taken to the Humbert Funeral Home, Logan Place, Confluence, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
