Dwire, 83, of Markleton RD 1, died Oct. 14, 1982, in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 29, 1899, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of Silas and Dora (Nicholson) Dwire. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Nicklow of Rockwood RD 2; Mrs. Orville (Dorothy) Leer of Rockwood; two brothers: Frank Dwire of Markleton RD 1; and Jack Dwire of Vandergrift; four sisters: Mrs. Ester Patton of Warren, Ohio; Mrs. Ida Marker of Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Leona Garletts of Rockwood RD 2, Mrs. Estella Houpt of Rockwood RD 1; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Trimpy Dwire, July 27, 1972. Also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. He was a member of the Kingwood Church of God and oldest member of Kingwood I.O.O.F. Lodge 1010, being a member for 61 years. Friends were received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, when services were conducted with the Rev. Stephen Show officiating. Interment in the Kingwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Republic, October 21, 1982 [D1149]
