  Bessie Leora Emerick, 72, of RD 1 Glencoe, died May 24, 1976 at home.  She
  was born in Brothersvalley Township Feb. 19, 1904, the daughter of the late
  Hiram and Rosie (Gindlesperger) Brick.  Preceded in death by her husband
  Clarence F. in 1961, a son, Elwood, a daughter, Nellie, two sisters.
  Survived by these children: Clarence, Berlin RD 3; James, Rockwood; Mrs.
  Samuel (Rose) Gormer, Lavale, Md.; Mrs. Joseph (Viola) Boldon, Meyersdale;
  I Mrs. Victor (Betty) Ludy,  Berlin RD 3; John, Glencoe; Mrs. Albert (Mary
  Jane) Hartge, Baden, Pa.; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
  She was a sister of Henry, Akron, Ohio; Albert, Monroe Falls, Ohio; and
  Clara Stahl, Shanksville.  Friends are being received at the Johnson and
  Sons Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.
  with the Rev. Paul E. Snyder officiating.  Interment IOOF Cemetery, Berlin.
