  EMERICK
  
    Nora V. Emerick, 97, of Glencoe RD I, died Jan. 19, 1997, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Aug. 8, 1899, near Glencoe, she was a daughter of the late
  Jacob and Lydia (Martz) Emerick.  She also was preceded in death by her
  husband, Edgar W. Emerick, on Feb. 13, 1994, and by three sisters and six
  brothers.  Surviving is a brother, Melvin O. Emerick of Corriganville, Md.,
  and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    Mrs. Emerick retired with 45 years of service as a schoolteacher in
  various Somerset County schools.  She was a member of the Retired Teachers
  Association and a past member of Bedford Springs Chapter 41, Order of the
  Eastern Star.  She attended Fairhope Community Church.
    Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Harvey H.
  Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman Funeral and commitial services will be
  conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Daniel E.
  Leister officiating.  Interment, Mount Lebanon Cemetery near Glencoe.
