    Norman G. "Mandy" Fike, 89, of Berlin, formerly of Meyersdale, died June
  12 at Siemen's Lakeview Manor.  Born Feb. 19, 1899 in Summit Twp., a son of
  the late Irwin W. and Emma (Martz) Fike.  Also preceded in death by his
  wife, the former Minnie A. Swearman.  Survived by a daughter, Mrs. John W.
  (Betty) Croner, Berlin RD 3; four grandchildren and seven
  great-grandchildren.  He was a member of the Church of the Brethern [sic]
  and former owner and operator of the New Standard Motor Company in
  Meyersdale for 37 years.  A member of Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Department,
  where he served as chief for 21 years, L.O.O.M., Lodge #76, B.P.O.E., Lodge
  #1951.  A former driver for Meyersdale Area Ambulance Association.  Friends
  will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday) at the Price Funeral
  Home in Meyersdale where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with
  Pastors Albert Valentine and Walter Fike officiating.  Interment Union
  Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Meyersdale Volunteer
  Fire Department.
