"Mandy" Fike, 89, of Berlin, formerly of Meyersdale, died June 12 at Siemen's Lakeview Manor. Born Feb. 19, 1899 in Summit Twp., a son of the late Irwin W. and Emma (Martz) Fike. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Minnie A. Swearman. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. John W. (Betty) Croner, Berlin RD 3; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of the Brethern [sic] and former owner and operator of the New Standard Motor Company in Meyersdale for 37 years. A member of Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as chief for 21 years, L.O.O.M., Lodge #76, B.P.O.E., Lodge #1951. A former driver for Meyersdale Area Ambulance Association. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday) at the Price Funeral Home in Meyersdale where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastors Albert Valentine and Walter Fike officiating.
