FINEGAN Word has been received here by friends of the family of the death of Clare D. Finegan, 56, who passed away on Monday at the family home, 891 Kenmore Boulevard, Akron, Ohio, where he had resided for the past 36 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Finegan; a daughter, Vaun E. Finegan; a son, Glen E. Finegan, and three brothers, Robert E. and Earl A. Finegan, both of Akron, Ohio, and Frank H. Finegan, of Barberton, Ohio. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Hannah Finegan, Clay Street, Meyersdale, and uncle to Councilman Harry Finegan, manager of the Acme Market, Meyersdale. His father, Amos E. Finegan, who came here from Cumberland, Md., in the early 70's, and his mother, Mrs. Emma Suter Finegan, foster daughter of the late Bishop Conrad G. Lint, for more than half a century pastor of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, will be remembered by the older residents of the community. The elder Mr. Finegan was Meyersdale's first auctioneer, which calling he followed in connection with his occupation, that of paper hanger and decorator. He also served several terms as justice of the peace and burgess in Meyersdale Clare will be laid to rest Sunday at 3:00 p.m. with services at the Prentice Chapel, 1154 Kenmore Boulevard.
