  D. Guy Floto, 79, of San Gabriel, Calif., formerly of Meyersdale, died Dec.
  20, 1977, in Monrovia, Calif.  Born Oct. 29, 1899, in Meyersdale, a son of
  the late Daniel and Anna Elizabeth (Guthrie) Floto.  Preceded in death by a
  sister, Ethel, and a brother, Robert.  Survived by his wife, the former
  Martha Salkeld; and these children:  D Guy Floto Jr., Pasadena, Calif.;
  Mrs. Betty Gow, Elkins, W.Va.; and Mrs. June Denney, Fullerton, Calif.;
  also, 10 grandchildren.  A brother of:  James and Mrs. Daniel Shultz, both
  of Canton, Ohio.  Also a step-mother, Mrs. Roy Reichart of Canton, Ohio. 
  He was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Meyersdale,
  Meyersdale Rotary Club, the Elks, the Moose, Somerset County Fair
  Association and the Meyersdale Chamber of Commerce.  He was a former
  justice of the peace, borough tax collector and was in the insurance
  business.  He served two terms in the office of Somerset County
  Prothonotary.  A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in
  the Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, with the Rev. Harold Appel
  officiating.  Arrangements in charge of the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.
