Born in Westernport, he was a son of the late Wilbur Frantz and Hazel (Myers) Frantz. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired in November, 1984 from the Westvaco Corporation. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont; Victory Post 15, American Legion, and Queen's Point Memorial Post 6775, Veterans of Foreign Wars, McCoole, Md. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edna Mae (Everly) Frantz; one stepson, Charles Moorehead, Westernport; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Hilda Wilburn, Grantsville, Md.; two brothers, Leroy Frantz and William Frantz, both of Reno, Nev., and six stepgrandchildren. Friends were received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, where services were conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Curtis Saville and the Rev. Sumner Sawyers.
